I adored this book. The story is simple and cute, perfect for bedtime reading. In this book (the first Catwings book) Mrs. Jane Tabby gives birth to four kittens... with wings! Having decided that it means they should leave her and go to better places, she told them to "fly away - far away." And that's when their adventuers begin.

The illustrations by S. D. Schindler were really beautiful. I wish I had this in my Enid Blyton reading days! Actually, I wish I had this long before that. And I wish I could have this in hardcover. The paperback version is too thin, which makes the covers curl up a bit.
